The book is divided into four parts,  which explains the concept of ikagai to most efficient diet plans,  all are discussed in detail.  The book starts with an explanation of image,  then the author slowly moves towards the importance of flow and then finally to the mysterious routine.  And ended with the concept of resilience,  which is the ability to deal with setbacks.


Although the purpose is to find the secrets to find a way to live a long and happy life.  Long-life can only be attained by happy, which is evident from the various interviews mentioned in the book.  You need a reason to live and this what ikagai is about.

"He who has a why to live for can bear with almost anyhow.”

Conclusion 

I will say you must read the book.   The purpose of the book is to guide to livlongnger and happy life.  But I will say if you are struggling with  "What is life? "  you must read the book.  Book has various tricks and tips from the oldest people of all time.
