10 Great and Easy English Books You Must Read !

In the article How To Develop Reading Habit, we discussed few methods to start reading. Now the next step is to decide where to start. After novella part, go for novels. 


In beginning read easy book. Books with easy vocabulary and simple stories. Beginning is most hard so go easy on yourself. Here are the few recommendations for beginners.

Jhumpa Lahiri's Namesake is a coming-of-age novel about an Indian boy who has been raised in America, feeling the struggles of fitting the demographics of his culture as well as the nation he was born in. It follows the journey of this boy as he becomes a man and the many hardships of life as well as its harsh lessons of reality.  The writing style grabs the attention of the audience.

 The main idea of the alchemist is, always follow your dreams and hear to your heart. The Alchemist is on the life of a guy named Santiago, who does not know what to do when has to face his dreams. If you know little about books and recommendation you must have heard of Alchemist.

From my side for beginners, this could be a great start.


8) The Palace of Illusions



 Author: Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni

The Palace of Illusion is retelling Mahabharat from Draupati's viewpoint. It starts with her birth and then balances between her husbands and the war between two brothers. She lost respect, honor to take all this back she suffered and at last, she conquered.
This epic story will lead you to great interest and make you fall in with reading. If you are an Indian you have totally different perspective of Mahabharat.


9) Sita:



  Author: Devdutt Pattanaik


Sita, by Devdutt Pattanaik, is the whole side of the side of Ramayan. Indians always respected women, the theme, the plot everything is know still this book has a different essence of the whole verse.

For a new reader, this is perfect.  If you are focused only on reading this is the best choice, don't concentrate on the intellectual part of the book.


10) The Kite Runner

This about a boy named Amir, a young boy from the Wazir Akbar Khan district of Kabul, whose closest friend is Hassan. The whole novel is beautifully written. The story can be distinctively recalled all the time.  It touches on loyalty, betrayal, trauma, guilt, and essentially redemption. The writing draws you in and seamlessly creates a movie in your mind. The whole book is filled with a lot of emotions. Must read once in life.

11) To Kill a Mockingbird

 To Kill a Mockingbird 's theme is based on the Focus on the Family's marriage and parenting magazine.
The most important part of To Kill a Mockingbird is the book's exploration of the moral nature of human beings—that is, whether people are essentially good or essentially evil. The involves a lot of spiritual thinking and evoke your thoughts.

Coming to the beginner part, this would be great to start with. You can have your own viewers and ideas on a particular accident. This will develop great interest.
